This baby shower cake was an exciting challenge and so much fun to work on! I was asked to make figures to represent the two daughters of the mother-to-be and their soon-to-be-born baby boy. My client, Lisa is an amazing local photographer who had wonderful images of the girls for inspiration. It was a joy to put this cake and the “O” onesie cupcakes together.
This pink and white cake was designed for Bride Jennifer for her May 2010 wedding at the Lafayette Hotel in Marietta. The cake was four tiers covered in fondant and pale pink ribbon. Hand painting and scrollwork details were added to the sides and pale pink peonies and white marabou feathers completed this romantic cake.
This cake was made for the Conley~Van Dyke wedding in February 2010. The reception was an over-the-top, platinum wedding event for over 400 guests and was featured in West Virginia Weddings Magazine (vol. 2, iss. 1). The cake was a chocolate and vanilla checkerboard pattern cake, layered with vanilla buttercream and covered in white fondant. The layers were stacked with orchids and black satin ribbon completing the decorations for the cake.
