Megan "Nutmeg" Craig is the owner and sole proprietor of Nutmeg's — Desserts for Every Occasion, specializing in baking cakes, sweets and treats that are both visually appealing and mouthwateringly delicious.

Pursuing a life-long love of baking, Megan started out on a small scale, mainly making desserts and cakes for her own parties and friends. It wasn't until she created a 4-tier wedding cake as a gift for a friend that she decided to pursue baking on a more professional level, and Nutmeg’s was born. Studying Cake Baking, Decoration and Design at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Megan honed her skills at the art and craft of Cake creation and developed an ever-widening repertoire of recipes.

Through referrals and word of mouth, Nutmeg’s has grown and gained a reputation for excellence, providing cakes and treats for numerous weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, holiday parties and business functions. Her client list ranges from international corporations to independent cafes, wine bars and coffee shops, and mommies and brides-to-be.

A professional Human Resources & Management Consultant with a B.A. in Psychology, Megan also uses her education and professional expertise to coordinate and plan events such as weddings, corporate parties and other social functions.

In 2007, Nutmeg’s relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area to Ohio, and now serves Southeastern Ohio and West Virginia.

I worked with Nutmeg's - Desserts for Every Occasion on my wedding cake. Our first meeting was great because Megan brought a bunch of photos of past cakes, and also took the time to talk to me about what I liked (and didn't like) in order to start getting some ideas on a wedding cake. She came up with three cake ideas and then brought the tasting cakes to my house for me, my now husband and mom to try. She took the time to see their reactions and altered the tastes and look of the cakes to satisfy all us. I was pretty manic towards the end and it was so nice to know that I had someone I could trust to handle the wedding cake. Everyone really enjoyed the cakes (lemon for my mom, chocolate for me, and white cake with apricot filling for my husband). I would highly recommend Megan for a cake for your party, wedding or event.
